Welcome to our new website! If you are interested in joining our team please email Coach Mary at:

Maryeggers “at” gmail “dot” com

Here is what we offer here at Train-This:

1. Personalized multisport coaching. You will never receive a stock Training Peaks workout from us. We develop our own protocols, workouts, and we give you a personalized non cookie cutter plan. You even get a weekly personalized podcast from your coach detailing your week and reviewing progress!

2. Lactate threshold testing: The first time you bought a heart rate monitor, were you at a loss with what to do with it? Did someone at your gym tell you to minus your age from 220? What the heck did that tell you? Not a darn thing! We bring you through field tests that give you the data you need to properly set your zones.

3. Power testing and analysis: If you train with a power meter and / or a computrainer, we actually know how to test, interpret, analyze and then use that data. And we won’t charge you an extra fee for doing so.

4. Strength training. We incorporate personalized strength and functional strength training into your program. A stronger muscle is a healthier muscle. Have a history of injuries? Let’s strengthen you from the inside out. Let’s make you the strongest possible athlete to sustain the stressors of endurance training. Here you won’t get the same plan as Sally over there, you are two different athletes who have different planes of motion. So we give you the strength training program that belongs to you.

5. Nutrition Planning: Ever wonder what you should eat during training and then off the field? nutrition is becoming our passion here. We also have several RD’s to consult with and help int his area. With our medical background you know the advice you are receiving is sound. Not something read in a magazine. Are you an athlete who routinely experiences GI distress during a race? So have we. We’ve also found a way to fix that.

6. Communication. We are available to you by phone, skype, text, email, and bat signals in the sky. This is not just a training program, it’s your life. We even care if your dog dies.

7. Team. This is always the most suprising part of signing up with us….. the team. We are a great big family…. dysfunctional is a label you might come up with…… crazy together is what we like to say. Through the use of our Google Group we connect with one another, whether you live in Rochester, Atlanta, Montreal, N’Orleans….. you become a part of a team. Often we travel to races where you live and bombard your house. We train together as much as we can, and we raz each other like there’s no tomorrow.

8. Team Gear: With over 30 of us running around in our new team gear and colors… you won’t miss us at the races. Stay tuned.

9. Biomechanics: We look at you swim, bike and run. We identify the areas of improvement. If you have an 8 billion dollar bike but run leaning back so far you could recline… what will that do for you? We look at you from head to toe and we help improve the mechanics of our sports!

10. Affordability. We are not $300 per month coaches. You will not pay more than your car or mortgage payment here. We do work for less, because we think coaching should be for everyone. We have jobs, families, and bills to pay. We also know that there are folks out there with goals, and the desire to achieve them. Too often coaching services are restricted to the six figure salary population, and that keeps some out. We work hard for you no matter how much money you make. Some think it’s a poor business plan, we think it’s the way to keep everyone in our sport. If you have a passion for this, if you are committed to yourself, contact us. We won’t break your bank but we will break your personal best.

That’s us in a nutshell. If you are interested in our coaching services leave us a comment (it won’t be published) or send an email to me at Maryeggers ”at” gmail “dot” com. We’d love to have you

We are so close to being there…. hang on we are editing!

Train-This has 3 coaches, and we are located in 2 different states. While we all took the certification courses and passed the exams…. we pride ourselves on being much more than a “USAT certified coach”, because truthfully that means that we…. took the course and passed the exam.

We discuss, we learn, we read. We work with our athletes hands on. We debate. We experiment. We learn from one another. We are interested in your growth as an athlete in a manner that fits your life. We use feedback, criticism, praise, whatever form it comes in…. to be better coaches.

We offer:

1. Personalized multisport coaching. You will never receive a stock Training Peaks workout from us. We develop our own protocols, workouts, and we give you a personalized non cookie cutter plan.

We’d love to have you aboard!

Mary is a 4-time Ironman Finisher, with a personal best Ironman of 10:58.59. She has qualified for the Hawaii Ironman 3 times. Before dipping into distance events, her specialty was series multisport competing. She was the Elite Women’s Champion of the Subaru Triathlon Series (9 months after the birth of her son), the 2004 Vespid Cup Winner, and the 2003-2005 Women’s Champion for the Score-This series. Mary won the Inaugural Musselman 1/2 Ironman, and has found her home in the 1/2 Ironman to Ironman Distance Racing.

In 2006, she was included on the USAT All-American List for the fourth consecutive year. Her victories at all distances, combined with her passion for this sport, make her an easy choice for predicting the winner of almost any race!

In 2004, Mary began to find her niche in the coaching arena. Her record of coaching athletes include a 100% Ironman finisher’s rate, many podium finishers for her athletes, as well as a reputation for fostering a team-like atmosphere with her athletes. Her ability to motivate and inspire athletes of all ages and abilities, has made Train-This Western New York’s fastest growing multisport coaching company.
